Neuro-Ophthalmologic Findings in Acute Stroke
Kim Ji-Soo

Abstract
Abnormal eye movements are the most common and important findings in strokes involving the brainstem and cerebellum. Eye movements comprise saccades, smooth pursuit, vestibulo-ocular reflex, optokinetic nystagmus, vergence, and fixation. Since each eye movement is controlled by distinctive neural structures, careful evaluation of eye motion would provide valuable information for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke.
